The Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) program is designed specifically to meet the needs of English language learners as they pursue career goals in their chosen educational pathway.

How It Works

The MTCC IELCE program offers students the opportunity to advance their English language skills through lessons and academic support that reflects the unique terms and vocabulary of their chosen college course, certificate, diploma, or associate's degree. Our IELCE instructor will provide each student with individual support through the following services:

-IELCE training labs on a weekly basis

-Access to an online English learning platform

-Advising/tutoring as needed

-English language acquisition support specifically contextualized to training classes

-Enhance knowledge of rights & responsibilities of citizenship & civic participation
