Your Graduation Questions, Answered

Graduation is a big deal, and we know you might have plenty of questions.

This page is here to help! From practical tips about the ceremony to details on who can attend, you’ll find the answers you need to make your experience stress-free.  And if we haven't answered it here, there is a handy form to send your questions directly tothe people who can help.

Each graduate is limited to 15 guests.

It is not required that you update the Registrar’s Office.

Students may pick up caps and gowns in the bookstore during designated times outlined in the graduation ceremony memorandum that will be sent to candidates for graduation in April.

No, attendance is optional for all students.

Credentials will be posted to your official transcript within 5 business days after the end of the term.

Fall and summer term graduates will receive diplomas via postal mail. Diplomas will be mailed approximately 5 business days after the term end date. Spring graduates will receive diplomas at the graduation ceremony or via postal service the week following the graduation ceremony if you choose not to attend.

To change your name, submit a Name Change form along with proof of name change (e.g. Driver’s license, SS Card).

  • April 13 – May 14: Purchase graduation supplies in the bookstore
  • Thursday, May 14 at 7:00pm: Adult High School, High School Equivalency, and Workforce Development Graduation Ceremony
  • Friday, May 15 at 4:00pm: Arts and Sciences Graduation Ceremony
  • Friday, May 15 at 7:00pm: Career and Technical Education Graduation Ceremony

Permitted Bags

  • Clear Plastic or Vinyl Bags – up to 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches
  • Clear Zip Storage Bags – up to 1 gallon
  • Small Clutch Bags – up to 1 gallon
  • Medical Bags – after proper inspection
  • Diaper Bags – after proper inspection

Prohibited Bags

  • Fanny Packs
  • Briefcases
  • Backpacks
  • Computer Bags or Camera Bags
  • Luggage of Any Kind
  • Purses Larger than a Clutch
