Medication Aide Long-Term Care

Medication Aide Long-Term Care

Dates: January 16, 2026 - January 31, 2026

PHM 4100 

This course is designed to meet the training requirements for becoming qualified as a Medication Aide. This course will cover the six rights of medication administration for non-licensed personnel. Topics will include medication administration via the oral, topical, and instillation routes, medical asepsis, hand hygiene, terminology, and legal implications.

Upon completion, students should be able to take the competency exam and demonstrate skills necessary to qualify for listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.

Dates: January 16, 2026 - January 31, 2026

Times: Fridays & Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Class Cost: $146.30

Total Hours: 24

Credentials: NC Healthcare Personnel Registry

Last day to register, provide, and meet eligibility documentation and to pay: January 10, 2026

- North Carolina Medication Aide Training Textbook - available at the McDowell Technical Community College Bookstore
