This afternoon at 3:30 pm, McDowell Technical Community College and McDowell County Government will officially dedicate the Universal Advanced Manufacturing Center that has been under renovation for the last several months. Programs in Machining, Welding, Industrial Maintenance, and Electrical/Electronics have vacated their old classrooms on the main campus and will now be located in new and expanded facilities at the new facility. The Universal Advanced Manufacturing Center will also house the McDowell Economic Development Association offices, as well as Industry Training programs for new and expanding industries throughout the county. The public is invited to attend.
